Privacy policy

Last updated November 4, 2026

This policy explains what information Mike Sanborn, doing business as Eventlane ("Eventlane", "we", "us") collects through the website at eventlane.app and the organizer dashboard and attendee app at app.eventlane.app (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Two roles

  • For event data, the organizer is in charge. When an organizer runs an event on Eventlane, they decide what attendee information is collected and how it's used. We process it on their behalf to run the event, as their service provider. If you attend an event, the organizer's own privacy notice also applies, and you can contact them directly.
  • For our own website and accounts, we are. That covers visitors to eventlane.app, people who request a demo, and organizers' accounts.

What we collect

Account information. Your email address, which you use to sign in with a one-time code, and the roles your organization gives you.

Registration information. What organizers import or enter about attendees: typically name, email, job title, company, ticket type or role, and the registration ID from their registration tool.

Profile information you add. Such as your photo, headline, bio, interests, goals, skills, availability and any links or contact details you choose to share. You decide what's on your profile and whether you appear in the attendee directory.

Activity in an event. Sessions you save, check-ins, booth visits, points, meetings you request or accept, messages, posts and reactions, session ratings, and the notifications you've read.

Leads. If exhibitor staff scan your badge, that exhibitor receives your name, email, title and company, along with any notes and rating they add.

Questions to the AI. What you ask the concierge or the help search, along with the event information needed to answer.

Demo requests. The name, email, organization and details you send us through the website.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting providers log basic request data such as IP addresses and browser details. When you email support from the help pages, the email includes your device type and app version so we can help.

We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers. The app stores your sign-in session, a copy of the event for offline use and your settings (such as light or dark mode) in your browser's local storage, so it works and stays signed in.

How we use it

  • to run the Service: sign you in, show you your event, personalize picks and matches, book meetings, deliver messages and notifications;
  • to answer AI questions and draft session summaries;
  • to keep the Service secure and working, including limits that prevent abuse;
  • to respond to support requests and demo requests;
  • to bill organizers;
  • to improve Eventlane, using aggregated information about how features are used.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who sees what

  • Organizers of an event you join can see your registration information, profile and activity in that event, including your email.
  • Other attendees see your profile as you've set it up, your public posts, and the people you meet with. Messages are private between the people in the conversation.
  • Exhibitors get your contact details only when they scan your badge.
  • Service providers process information for us under contracts that limit their use of it:
  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage (United States)
  • Vercel: website and app hosting
  • Resend: sending sign-in codes and emails
  • Anthropic: AI answers and session summaries; for questions about the area around a venue, the question may also be used to search the web
  • Cloudflare: domain name services and forwarding email sent to our support address

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, under this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep event data while the organizer's account is active and the event exists. When an organizer deletes an event, its attendees, activity, messages and leads are deleted with it. Deleted information can remain in backups for a limited period before it's overwritten. We keep demo requests and support emails for as long as needed to respond and follow up.

Your choices and rights

  • Edit or remove your profile details in the app at any time, hide your profile from the directory, and turn off messages.
  • Ask us to access, correct, export or delete your information by emailing support@eventlane.app. For information an organizer controls, we may pass your request to them or ask you to contact them.
  • Depending on where you live (for example, in California or the European Economic Area), you may have additional rights, including to object to or restrict some processing and to complain to a data protection authority. We won't treat you differently for exercising them.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit. Access rules in our database limit each person to what their role allows: attendees can't see each other's email addresses, for example. Sign-in uses one-time codes instead of passwords. No system is perfectly secure, so tell us right away if you think there's a problem.

Where information is stored

Our database is hosted in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Children

Eventlane isn't meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. Organizers shouldn't add attendees under 16 without appropriate consent.

Changes

We'll update this policy as Eventlane changes and post the new version here, with the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let organizers know in advance.
