Terms of service
Last updated November 4, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Mike Sanborn, doing business as Eventlane ("Eventlane", "we", "us"). They cover the Eventlane website at eventlane.app, the organizer dashboard and the attendee app at app.eventlane.app, and everything that comes with them (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you use it for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you're allowed to.
Who uses Eventlane
- Organizers are the people and organizations that set up events in the dashboard: super admins, admins and event managers.
- Attendees are people who use an event's app, including speakers and exhibitor staff.
Organizers decide what's in their events and who can join them. Eventlane provides the software.
Accounts
You sign in with a code we send to your email. Keep access to that email secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@eventlane.app if you think someone else has used it.
Organizers' responsibilities
If you run events on Eventlane, you're responsible for:
- having the right to upload the attendee, speaker, sponsor and exhibitor information you add, and for telling attendees how their information will be used, including that exhibitors who scan a badge receive that attendee's contact details;
- the content you publish in your events, such as agendas, announcements, images and documents;
- choosing who on your team has access, and removing access when someone leaves;
- your events' compliance with laws that apply to them.
Between you and us, you own your event content and attendee data. You let us host, process and display it to run the Service for you and your attendees.
Attendees' content
Attendees can add a profile, post in the activity stream, send messages and rate sessions. You keep ownership of what you post. You let us, and the organizers of events you join, host and show it inside those events. Don't post anything unlawful, harassing, infringing or misleading. Organizers can remove you from their events.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service. In particular, don't:
- access or try to access events, accounts or data you aren't allowed to;
- interfere with the Service, overload it, or get around its limits or security;
- scrape it, or use it to send spam or unsolicited messages;
- use it to collect personal information except as the Service is designed to, such as exhibitors scanning badges with consent;
- use it to break the law or anyone's rights.
We can suspend or remove access that breaks these terms or puts the Service or other people at risk.
AI features
The concierge, help search and session summaries use AI. They answer from your event's information and, for questions about the area around a venue, from web search results. AI answers can be wrong or out of date. Check anything important, such as times, places and opening hours, before relying on it. Daily limits apply to AI features. Questions you ask and the event information needed to answer them are sent to our AI provider to produce the answer, as described in our privacy policy.
Fees
Prices are on our pricing page. An organization's first event is free up to the registrant limit shown there. Paid events and annual plans are billed as described on that page or in the order we agree with you. Fees don't include taxes, which you're responsible for. We can change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes don't affect an event or plan you've already paid for.
Free use and changes to the Service
We're improving Eventlane continuously, so features can change. We'll give reasonable notice before removing a feature you're actively using for an upcoming event. Free use may have limits, such as the number of registrants or events.
Third-party services
The Service relies on other providers, such as hosting, email delivery and AI. Links in the Service, including sources shown with AI answers, can lead to third-party websites we don't control and aren't responsible for.
Our property
Eventlane and its software, design and content (other than yours) belong to us. These terms don't give you rights to our name or logo. If you send us feedback, we can use it without obligation to you.
Ending
You can stop using Eventlane at any time. Organizers can delete their events, which deletes the event's data. We can suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms, with notice where reasonable. Sections that by their nature should continue (ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity) survive the end of these terms.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that AI answers will be accurate.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or US $100.
Indemnity
If you're an organizer, you'll defend and indemnify Eventlane against claims arising from your event content, the attendee data you upload, or your breach of these terms or the law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located there, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell organizers by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
