Eventlane vs Cvent

The attendee app, without the enterprise suite.

Cvent is a large event management suite. Its Attendee Hub is the web and mobile app for in-person, virtual and hybrid events, sold alongside Cvent's registration platform. Eventlane is the event app on its own: a link attendees open, an AI concierge, matchmaking and lead retrieval, priced per registrant.

Why teams pick Eventlane

  • Every feature is included, so meetings and matchmaking aren't an extra line on the contract.
  • Your team can set up and change the app themselves, with a live phone preview.
  • Prices are on the website: per registrant, capped per event.
  • You can keep Cvent for registration and import its export into Eventlane.

When Cvent is the better fit

  • You need venue sourcing, hotel room blocks and budgets in the same system.
  • Your organization is standardized on Cvent across many teams.
  • You run virtual or hybrid events.

Eventlane doesn't sell tickets, print badges or stream sessions. Keep the tools you use for those and import your registrants.

Questions

Switching from Cvent

Can we keep Cvent registration and use Eventlane for the app?
Yes. Export your registrants as a spreadsheet and upload it as it is. Eventlane finds the columns, reads ticket types as roles, removes cancelled registrations and updates people each time you re-import.
Do attendees have to download anything?
No app store app. Eventlane is a web app: attendees open your event from a link or QR code, and can add it to their home screen. There's no download step and no app review to wait for.
Do we need an implementation project?
No. There are no setup or implementation fees. Upload your agenda and registrants, set your colors and publish. A help center with AI search is built into the dashboard.
