Eventlane vs Whova

The event app, without the quote.

Whova is an all-in-one event platform: registration and ticketing, an attendee app, and tools for in-person, hybrid and virtual events. Eventlane is the event app on its own: a link attendees open, an AI concierge, matchmaking and lead retrieval, priced per registrant.

Why teams pick Eventlane

  • You can see the price before you talk to anyone, and it's capped per event.
  • Attendees open your event at its own link, in your logo and colors.
  • The AI concierge answers attendees' questions from your event's own details.
  • Matchmaking, meetings, lead retrieval and the points game are all included.

When Whova is the better fit

  • You want registration, ticketing, badges and the app from one vendor.
  • You run virtual or hybrid events.
  • You print name badges onsite.

Eventlane doesn't sell tickets, print badges or stream sessions. Keep the tools you use for those and import your registrants.

Questions

Switching from Whova

Can I keep my registration tool and use Eventlane for the app?
Yes. Export your registrants as a spreadsheet and upload it as it is. Eventlane finds the columns, reads ticket types as roles, removes cancelled registrations and updates people each time you re-import.
Do attendees have to download anything?
No app store app. Eventlane is a web app: attendees open your event from a link or QR code, and can add it to their home screen. There's no download step and no app review to wait for.
How fast can we switch?
Most of setup is one spreadsheet: agenda, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors from our template, and registrants from your export. Your first event is free up to 50 registrants, so you can try it on a real one.
